Spain’s Interior Ministry awards Prosegur Crypto exclusive management of seized tokenized assets
The agreement recognizes Prosegur Crypto's track record in offering custody services that meet the highest standards of security, compliance and operational excellence.
Madrid, November 12, 2025.- Prosegur Crypto, Prosegur Cash's institutional digital asset custody service, has been selected by Spain’s Ministry of the Interior to carry out the management and custody of crypto assets seized in Spanish territory by the State Security Forces and Corps (FCSE).
The agreement advances the government’s integration of specialized technological solutions in the management processes of tokenized digital assets and recognizes Prosegur Crypto's operational capacity to offer custody services that meet the highest standards of security and compliance.
Prosegur Crypto will be in charge of the comprehensive administration of seized digital assets, covering the detailed registration, traceability and preservation of digital evidence. In addition, it will guarantee their complete and audited control, ensuring they are not tampered with, in accordance with the applicable regulations. Likewise, the company will be responsible for the conversion of digital assets into fiat currency when required to do so by the competent authority.

The company's physical infrastructure can store users' private keys, and the assets in custody are protected by military-grade cryptographic and logical security layers. Prosegur Cash's institutional digital asset custody service combines the highest standards in physical security, an area in which Prosegur is a world leader due to its state-of-the-art cryptographic security technologies.

In addition, Prosegur Crypto's exclusive storage and administration system allows financial institutions, government bodies, funds and investment managers, family offices or exchanges to execute the process of managing their digital assets, including sending transactions to blockchain without a direct internet connection, thus maximizing protection against any type of cyberattack.
