Madrid, 2 June 2021.- Prosegur Cash has closed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Nummi, S.A., a Uruguayan company operating in payments and collections under the Redpagos brand, and of its business as electronic cash issuer with its prepaid card Midinero. Signed in December 2020, the deal is now closed after approval from the competent authorities.

Founded in 2001, Redpagos is one of the leading Uruguayan companies in payments and collections. In twenty years, Redpagos has created a wide network of more than 460 offices across the country. The company currently serves more than one million people per month, for a total of more than 7 million transactions. As issuer of electronic cash through its business unit Midinero, Redpagos has more than one million cards issued. Redpagos has a highly qualified team of more than 200 people and recorded more than 55 million euros in turnover last year.

With this acquisition, Prosegur Cash keeps transforming its services and strengthening the development of its New Products unit. These operations have shown a positive performance in Ibero-America as well as strong resilience during the pandemic. Sales of New Products in Ibero-America amounted to 171 million euros last year and have continued to grow in local currency to reach 17.5% of the region's turnover. In all geographies where Prosegur Cash has a presence, New Products also maintained the positive dynamics of growth in local currency and reached 283 million euros. This figure represents around 18.8% of total income.

Martín Matos, CEO of Prosegur Cash in Latam South, pointed out that "the acquisition of Redpagos is further proof of Prosegur Cash's commitment to innovation and transformation of its activities so as to face any future challenges from the best possible position. We are also still reinforcing our position as a provider of payments solutions with a leader in the Uruguayan market."
Prosegur Cash and Redpagos are strong leaders in the Uruguayan market. Both companies base their growth on excellent customer service, continuous staff training and development of increasingly innovative products.
